Building A is situated at Bogucicka street no. 3. It houses the Printing Workshop, University Bookshop (Skrypci arn ia),  IT Centre, small gym, Reading Room, Main Library and two departmental libraries: of the Computer Science and Accounting Departments. The high-tech, air conditioned MAIOR Auditorium (Aula MAIOR) can seat 400 people.

Building A accommodates Dean’s Offices of the Faculty of Management and Faculty of Finance and Insurance, as well as three departments:

- Department of Economics
- Department of Computer Science
- Department of Accounting.  

Building A is also the seat of the Silesian International Business School. Buildings A and B are connected with a passage, which facilitates getting around the campus and is especially appreciated in autumn and winter.

Building B situated at Bogucicka street no. 3a, houses the Inter-Faculty Languages Instruction and Promotion and the attached Silesian School of Foreign Business Languages, a modernly equipped, air-conditioned Auditorium B (Aula B) seating 289, and also the Pawłowski Auditorium, where doctoral defences take place.  

The building accommodates the Faculty of Economics Dean’s Office and the following Departments: of Insurance Market, Environmental Protection Management, Management Methods and Systems, and Entrepreneurship.

The Careers Centre is also located here, so are the “Silesianie” Student Dance and Song Ensemble and the PANEUROPA Student Organization. Building B is connected with A and C.

Building C- contains a swimming pool, sauna and big gym. The 25-metre-long swimming pool comprises 5 separate tracks and its depth ranges from 1.15 m to 1.75 m.

The students may use the facilities not only during PE classes but also as part of the sports clubs activities and individually, within the hours specified.

The School of Physical Education and Sport is located in rooms 210 and 308. It delivers mandatory or optional sports classes (e. g. aerobics), and organizes skiing schools in winter.
The Academic Sports Association’s sports clubs include:

- mountain sports

Building  D is located at Bogucicka street no. 14.  It houses the Research and Analysis Centre, which provides professional research, consulting and educational services, and 17 Departments:

The building has lifts and a disabled access. On the ground floor there are the AMICUS Staff Club and a cash dispenser operated by Bank Śląski.

Building E is located at 1 Maja street no. 47. It houses Pedagogical School, University Press, “PRogress” – Public Relations Students Organization, Pedagogical Workshops, Alumni Association, Promotion Centre and three departments: of Transport, Humanities and Law. The building has classrooms and multimedia-equipped Auditoriums 101 and 201.

Building F - the three-storey building accommodates the ARKADA Students Club. The first floor houses a 200-seat student canteen and a 40-seat banquet hall.

Students may purchase meals individually or buy a voucher. Prices range from PLN 2.50 (soup) to PLN 8.50 (two-course lunch).

Building L is located at 1 Maja street no. 45 (entrance through Building E).  

 

 

 

 

 

Building P is situated at Pułaskiego street no. 25. It houses College of Management, the Doctoral School, the European Research and Studies Centre and three departments:
- Department of Ergonomics and Physiology
- Department of Applied Mathematics
- Department of International Economic Relations.
The multi-media equipped Auditorium P is located in Building P.

In Building P there is hotel for students and academics. All rooms with bathroom, TV, electric kettle, fridge and Internet.

Dormitory

It is situated about 20 minutes by bus (very good public transport connections) from the main University buildings. Ligota is a district of Katowice with its own centre and railway station. The dormitory is located in a big student residential area consisting of dormitories of almost all higher education institutions in Katowice. The standard of the rooms is typical of a dormitory. Every room is equipped with basic items of furniture.

Bedclothes are provided and laundered regularly free of charge but you need to bring your own towels. There are two rooms within one accommodation segment, with a shared bathroom. A few common kitchens are located on each floor. Internet access is available for free in each room (requirements: standard ethernet card; twisted pair cable). The gym is free for the residents and the TV room is equipped with a cable TV. Student night life is surely flourishing in Ligota. Please note that you need a photo for your Residence Card.
