The School's objective is to teach the skills needed in trade, industry and services, while assuring the employers that the qualifications acquired at the Silesian School of Foreign Business Languages are a synonym of professionalism and language competence. Supported by permanent contact with the business environment, the School regularly updates its teaching programmes to suit students who are learning new qualifications as well as companies seeking qualified employees.

The primary objective of the teaching process is the active and passive command of the foreign language in its general and professional variations (vocabulary, grammar, business writing). We teach English, French, Spanish, German, Russian and Italian.

Elementary groups learn the language basics, including some elements of business vocabulary. Intermediate groups are offered a compensatory period for the revision and consolidation of basic language structures, with the use of everyday and business vocabulary. Further work is based on general, economic and specialized literature, as well as daily press or specialist journals, with the introduction of grammatical structures typical for such texts.

We put strong emphasis on foreign language conversational skills.
We offer preparatory courses – varying in duration – for the LCCI, CCIP, ZDfB, ZD, CILS exams and we have a licence to conduct the following examinations:

German, together with ICC ZD, ZDfB
English, together with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry LCCI
French and Russian, together with the Paris Chamber of Commerce CCIP
Italian, together with the University of Siena CILS

All exams are conducted by the Silesian School of Foreign Business Languages and are recognized in the European Union, USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Silesian School of Foreign Business Languages delivers other customized language programmes, e. g. corporate courses, management staff training, negotiations preparation, individual courses, Polish classes. The students are offered free language advice, press resources and other materials.
